About this blog:
Band’or shorel’aran is a blog aimed at charting and remembering the experiences of levelling a character and raiding in the original World of Warcraft, and the two expansions that followed it, The Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King. With the new expansion, World of Warcraft:Cataclysm having just been announced, and the changes that it will make to Azeroth, I wanted there to be a memorial somewhere to my experiences in Blizzard’s original world. Along the way I hope to touch on other subjects, including PvP and RP, and muse a little deeper on certain aspects of the game – lore, the solo player’s experience, the raiding mentality, being an officer in a guild, maintaining in-game friendships, balancing the game and the real world.
In case you’re wondering, the title of my blog, band’or shorel’aran, means ‘Prepare to say farewell’ in Thalassian, the language of the Sin’dorei.
I hope you enjoy my writing – if you have any comments, you can email me at farfallablog at hotmail dot co dot uk.
